Symbols in the Power of 3 Logo
The Letter K
At first blush it is obvious that Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen’s first names and last names of Kassab all start with the letter K, hence K3 Sisters Band. Notice that the letter K appears 3 times on the logo forming the inner triangle and anchoring the 3 red hearts. In the ancient Egyptian dictionary, the letter K signified peace, serenity, calm and harmony. The vocalization of “Ka” symbolized the vital life forces and energy. Ancient Chaldean numerology indicated that K represented the number 2, and was viewed as being ruled by the moon as well as connected to Mars. The letter K belongs to the Zodiac sign Gemini which is ruled by Mercury. It is said that people whose name starts with K tend to be creative, innovative, and full of ideas. They are often drawn to art, music and creative pursuits where they possess natural talent. This is certainly the case with Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen!
Power of 3
On the surface it is clear that Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen as a trio are able to sing in 3-part harmony while simultaneously playing 3 different instruments such as guitar, bass and drums to deliver their powerful and moving original songs. Beyond that, entire books are written on the significance of the power of the number 3. Throughout history threefold associations symbolized wholeness, completeness, resurrection, harmony, wealth, knowledge, peace, and wisdom. A three-legged stool is stable and never rocks! The power of 3 is also expressed in triads such as: past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end; mind, body, soul; and divide, organize, explain. The number 3 is viewed as a divine number in many religions. It is often associated with the planet Jupiter. Whether it’s a K3SB live stream concert led by the K3 Sisters, or other situations, when 3 shows up in your life it can be an omen of creativity, communication, optimism and curiosity.
The Triangle
The upward-pointing triangle seen in the Power of 3 logo is associated with heavenly aspirations and spiritual awakening in addition to being viewed as a symbolic fire element signifying transformation and purification. The triangle is the key shape in trigonometry and was a vital consideration in construction going back to the great pyramids of ancient Egypt and the Pythagorean Theorem in Euclidean geometry. A modern-day construction example is Buckminster Fuller’s fascination with triangles as reflected in blueprints of his geodesic dome homes and structures which employ only triangles as their structural integrity. The equilateral triangle in the logo symbolizes balance, harmony, and unity as well as the interconnection of elements. The 3 equal sides of this triangle also represent the balance and cooperative equality of Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen as performers, creators and influencers.
The Star
The 3 golden yellow stars situated at the 3 vertexes of the Power of 3 logo’s central triangle are powerful celestial-based symbols common to both ancient and contemporary cultures. Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen are from Texas where the state flag sports a “lone star” symbolizing unity which gave Texas the nickname of the Lone Star State! To the ancients, however, stars represented destiny, fate, the five human senses and the vastness of the universe. Sailors used the stars to navigate back home, and so symbolized hope, protection, guidance, divine power and wisdom. Many ancient and modern religions, cults and governments include stars in their systems. The five-pointed star in the logo was common in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, Mesopotamia and Greece. Later, this unique star was used to symbolize the five virtues of medieval knights. Since 1824 theatrical lead performers were labeled “stars” which gave rise to the concept of “stardom” still seen on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Universities also use such stars to represent excellence, achievement, hope and new beginnings. Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen are increasingly being described as stars.
The Heart
For hundreds of years the heart shape has been viewed as a symbol of love, compassion and understanding. It has been said that the heart represents the locus of our physical and spiritual being and the central wisdom of feeling as opposed to the head-wisdom of reason. The 3 red hearts on the logo may be viewed as symbolic of life-giving and generous attitudes of goodwill and brotherly love as virtues to be shown to all people. The heart symbol also represents the possibilities of powerful expressions of love and affection common to individuals that fall in love or are in search of such close relationships.
